Locations of Advertising Device Control (ADC) Permits along the state highway system. ADC Permits ensure advertising devices meet established criteria for size, lighting, and spacing of signs, displays, and devices. Enacted in 1965, the Highway Beautification Act federally requires all states to maintain effective control over all outdoor advertising. Through an agreement with the federal government and as defined in the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code, the Ohio Department of Transportation is responsible for this oversight along controlled interstate and federal-aid primary highways in the state.

|
